Rebecca is a Partner/Director and leads the Family team. She is a member of the Children Panel and specialises in representing children. She also has extensive experience in dealing with Divorce, Financial Remedy and Co-habitation disputes.
Rebecca provides assistance to clients throughout Hertfordshire and because of her reputation, also represents clients further afield. She regularly attends Court hearings in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London.
She is a member of Resolution and is committed to helping you reach a conclusion as swiftly, amicably and cost-effectively as possible. Rebecca adopts a pragmatic approach to resolution and predominantly assists clients to conclude matters by agreement, however she is an experienced litigator if Court proceedings are required.
Alison is the head of the Wills, Trusts and Probate Team and she is a Member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners.
Alison originally practised as a Commercial Property Solicitor in London for Linklaters and Price Waterhouse Coopers before transferring her specialism to Private Client. Alison’s commercial experience enhances the advice she is able to offer when dealing with estates.
Alison is committed to providing clear and considerate advice to all her clients, whether in preparation of a simple Will or advising on complicated Trusts and Probate. Alison regularly arranges home visits throughout Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties.
Sumaiya joined Hepburn Delaney in May 2020 as a Managing Associate in our Wills, Trusts and Probate team.
Sumaiya advises a variety of clients including high net worth individuals and business owners on all aspects of their estate planning.
Sumaiya also sits on the Camelot advisory panel and regularly advises lottery winners in relation to their Wills and tax planning.
She is an expert in the drafting of Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney and advises clients with assets abroad as well as in the UK. She advises on detailed tax planning including the mitigation of inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
She also has a wealth of experience in the administration of estates including complex high value estates with assets in other jurisdictions. She advises personal representatives on all aspects of the administration including taxation.
Sumaiya completed her undergraduate law degree, a masters degree in law, and her postgraduate diploma in law at the University of Hertfordshire and subsequently qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Immediately prior to joining Hepburn Delaney Sumaiya headed up the Wealth Protection team for the Milton Keynes office of Shoosmiths for over three years. Prior to joining Shoosmiths, she also worked at regional firm Pictons where she was a partner and head of the Wills, Trusts and Probate department.
Sumaiya is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors For The Elderly (SFE).
Drenne has worked within the Family Law setting for over 30 years initially as a Solicitor and then training and qualifying as a Family Mediator, gaining accreditation through the Law Society and registration with the Family Mediation Council. She has spent the last 27 years living and working in the Hemel Hempstead and Tring areas. Drenne now specialises solely in Mediation devoting her professional time to assisting separating couples resolve their issues in a safe, informed environment which allows them to take control over important decisions in moving forward with their lives.
Aman joined the Hepburn Delaney team in January 2019. She was previously working at a reputable national Legal 500 firm based in Central London. Aman is a UCL graduate who strives for excellence.
Aman’s approach is to assist and guide clients through what can be a very stressful and emotional experience, in a pragmatic and cost effective way. She strives to ensure that she advises her clients in a clear and succinct way and to ensure that their objectives are met.
Aman has many years of experience in a broad range of family matters, including divorce and financial matters, disputes involving children, pre and post nuptials agreements and cohabitation matters. In Financial Remedy cases, she is confident in advising on business and pension assets, property and investments. Her clients range from those with limited financial resources to those with high net worth assets.
Aman is a member of Resolution and is committed to resolving disputes in a non-confrontational way.
Aman is a keen baker and loves travelling to different countries as well as loves spending time with her family and friends on a weekend. She is learning to love the office dogs.
Nicole qualified as a solicitor in 1992, specialising in Family Law gaining experience in both private practice and in house with local authorities. In 2001, Nicole first became a member of the Law Society Children Panel and has specialised in representing Children for the past 15 years.
Nicole joined Hepburn Delaney in January 2019 working within the Children team and is an experienced litigator if Court proceedings are required. Nicole’s style of work is thorough and committed to the welfare of families, with an attention to detail. Nicole seeks to leave no stone unturned in pursuit of a fair and balanced picture being presented to the Court at the final hearing.
Nicole has one teenage son, a boarder terrier and enjoys walking in the countryside.
Julie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, specialising in representing parents in Children Law proceedings. She has worked in Family Law for 16 years. Her sensitive and practical approach to resolving matters relating to children makes her an asset to the Children Team. She is an experienced and confident advocate, regularly attending the local courts to represent parents and family members.
Matthew joined Hepburn Delaney in January 2018. Matthew comes to us with a background in corporate leadership and management. These skills are invaluable to Hepburn Delaney’s continued progress in efficiency and excellence. He also chairs committees with the Chief Executive Dog.
