    Estate planning

Each year we are approached by a number of clients considering whether they should transfer their home to their children or other young relatives even though they still intend to continue living in it.  The reasons they give for thinking of such a step are variable , some well thought through, some not. We have the knowledge and experience to give clear, practical advice as to the possible implications of such a step, for example issues as to care home fees, inheritance tax and other costs and whether other options may better suit the situation.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please contact Alison Rowley, in our Hemel office.
